HMMWV auction

Postby jwmaleta on Mon Apr 24, 2017 4:15 am

Dixy Four Wheelers is auctioning off a completely restored 1987 HMMWV if anyone is interested. The auction is going to benefit Dixy four wheeler, The Wounded Worior foundation and the Central Virginia make a wish foundation. Tickets are $100 each and only 400 are being sold. The drawing is going to be held live on September 17 at noon at Field days of the past in Richmond Virginia (at the horseshoe pits) as well as being live streamed on Facebook. Also here is a UTuber link that shows off this cool vehicle. Let me know if anyone would like a ticket. https://youtu.be/wm13cCUhviM

its a raffle
So, a "$30,000" Humvee selling for $40,000.
The money will be split between Dixie For Wheeler, Wounded Worior Foundation, and Make a Wish Foundation.
Exactly how much of that $40,000 will be going to each of those three places?

And, what is the "Wounded Worior foundation"? That isn't a know charity.

Sorry it's the Wounded Worior program not foundation.
20k is going to cover the cost of the HMMWV the rest is being split up between the 3.

still not "exactly" some folks like to know where their money is going.

$20k split between the 3? One of those three is the place raffling the Humvee. Do they get $18k, and $1k for each of the real charities.

With a finite number of tickets, this should all have been thought out.

Then don't buy a ticket if you don't want to. This is America and because of the brave men and women who served (like I did) you have the FREEDOM to choose. Exercise your freedom in the way that best serves you!
